Tom is a qualified carpenter. He has also achieved a degree in Construction Management from the Queensland University of Technology graduating with First Class Honours. He was awarded a three year academic scholarship by Theiss and worked for them in Commercial construction in Brisbane on the Royal Brisbane Hospital - West Block Project. Since 2004, Tom has been working in residential construction in the Albury-Wodonga region. He holds a building license in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. Tom’s non-typical combination of academic and trade qualifications enable him to be an effective and precise Design and Construct Builder.

James joined the family business in 1995 and is a qualified carpenter. James' attention to detail and precision make him a master carpenter whose skills are difficult to match. He is also a talented designer and his innovative ideas and creativity are an asset to the company.

The company is a fusion of two generations of building expertise. Danny Komadina has been building in the Albury / Wodonga region for over three decades. In 2004, Danny along with his sons James and Tom decided to establish Sapphire Sky Homes to incorporate the building qualifications, design skills and construction experience of the family into one unified organisation.

Since its establishment Sapphire Sky Homes has operated predominantly in Albury / Wodonga and its surrounding region. In association with consultants, the company provides complete design solutions for:

Danny has been building in the Albury-Wodonga Region since 1980. Having parted with his builder brother in Melbourne, he set out to form his own company in the region. He is well known by the local tradesmen and suppliers and his houses are a testament to his high work ethic and outstanding craftsmanship.
